Gesine Steudle is part of the Green Growth research team, in particular she contributes to the development of the German Green Growth Model, which aims at a better understanding of costs and benefits of climate and energy policy and is designed as an open-source agent-based model. 

Gesine studied physics in Berlin and Granada (Spain) and obtained her PhD from Humboldt-University Berlin in the field of experimental quantum optics. Before she joined the GCF she was working at a private consulting company in the area of energy efficiency and renewable energies.

Her interests are model development for complex systems, economic growth and its impacts, energy markets and renewable energies, and the implications of policy making.
